October 1, 2024
Nourishing Hope Home Delivery Program Coordinator Sarah Cerkvenik, center with check, is thrilled at CISCO’s generous $7,500 donation – which came from proceeds of CISCO’s annual Golf Outing. The donation will be used to buy meals, upkeep of facilities, train volunteers and provide services. The Chicago-based Nourishing Hope provides the equivalent of 4.5 million meals each year, plus thousands of mental wellness and social services that empower healthy lives.
The success of CISCO’s Sept.9 Golf Outing is due to the contributions of our generous sponsors and sale of raffle tickets, which played a vital role in the success of CISCO’s Golf Outing, and we are incredibly grateful for your commitment to making a difference!
Nourishing Hope’s distribution center has hundreds to volunteers helping sort and pack food. “Volunteers deliver thousands of meals to seniors, veterans and disabled people and families, as well as provides much needed companionship. “This generous donation will reach so many. ‘Thank you’ to the entire CISCO community of Union contractors and workers,” Cerkvenik said.
The Chicago-based Gateway to Learning also received a $7,500 donation, which was doubled to $15,000 through a generous matching donation! Gateway to Learning provides lifelong learning for adults with intellectual challenges and developmental disabilities.
